Meals on Wheels

This service is for people in independent living situations who can’t shop, cook or prepare their own meals. A small fee is collected for the service. Contact the program for eligibility requirements as each client is evaluated individually.


Independence Assistance

This organization offers transportation services for a variety of appointments for seniors. Their staff can drive their own car or take you in yours. The program is also affiliated with and can assist you with the LexTran, Wheels bus program.


Landmark of Danville

This senior living community offers a variety of services including Alzheimer's/Dementia, Respite, Wound, and Respiratory Care. They also provide rehabilitation and therapy services to their residents.


Gash Memorial Chapel

In the 1960s this funeral home actually started its life as a nursing home. It now offers services 24-hours a day, 7-days a week. This includes transport of remains out-of-town and throughout the world if needed. This facility offers an annual candle-lighting remembrance ceremony for people they have served that year.

KY Department for Aging & Independent Living

The Kentucky Department for Aging and Independent Living (DAIL) oversees administration of statewide programs and services on behalf of Kentucky's elders and individuals with disabilities. In partnership with Kentucky's Area Agencies on Aging and Independent Living, community mental health centers, Center for Independent Living and other community partners, DAIL provides leadership and addresses issues and circumstances that stand in the way of elders and individuals with disabilities achieving the best possible quality of life.
